Picnik is closing! Noooo! I edit all my photos in Picnik, so I’m gutted it’s closing down in April. Apparently a lot of the features will be available with Google+, but I’m definitely going to miss Picnik. I don’t really want to fork out for Photoshop, so I’m on the hunt for a new online, free photo-editing site. What do you use? Any recommendations?
Work’s been quite busy this week, so I was definitely ready for the weekend for a rest! I spent last night with a couple of friends and lots of film watching. We got through Despicable Me, Whip It (neither of which I’d seen before) and The History Boys. Whip It was a lot better than I was expecting. I knew I’d enjoy it, but the trailers I’d seen made it seem as though it would be in the Bring It On type vein. Good, but good because it’s a bit rubbish. Know what I mean? The History Boys is one of my very favourite films. I really want to see it on stage, it must be fantastic.
I’m in the market for a new laptop at the moment, as mine is getting rather elderly. At the moment, it’s working alright, but it is threatening to die. It’s got a bit slow, and it’s had some start-up troubles. I’m thinking I’ll treat myself to an upgraded version of what I already have, as I do love my little Acer. Once again, recommendations?
I fear I may be in for an expensive few months. New laptop, driving lessons (yeah, still) then the car, I’m eyeing up DSLR cameras and I want to go away this summer. Now accepting donations.
I've never used it, but I've had recommendations for Gimp as good photo editing software - it's free and legal :)
ReplyDeleteSeconded for Gimp; I have used it and it's good. (See facebook cover picture) If you have a look on filehippo.com they have it. And alot of other so you can browse if you want to.
